Wheel & Rim Repair — Including Aluminum Welding

A damaged wheel does not automatically mean a new wheel. Bring it by and we will tell you what can be done with it.

Damaged wheel and rim repair

Curb rash, a bend from a pothole, a rim that has started leaking air around the bead — these are the everyday ways wheels get damaged, and a fair number of them can be put right.

We assess the wheel first. Some damage is repairable, some is not, and the difference matters because a wheel is a structural part. You will get an honest answer about which one you have.

Common damage we look at

  • Curb rash and gouges
  • Bends from potholes and road debris
  • Cracks in aluminum wheels
  • Slow leaks around the bead
  • Corrosion that stops a tire sealing

Aluminum wheel welding

Cracked aluminum wheels need welding, and welding aluminum properly is a specialized job. It is not something you find at most tire shops in this area.

It is done here. If a wheel has a crack in it — often first noticed as a slow leak that no amount of resealing fixes — this is the capability that decides whether it can be saved.

New and used wheels

When a wheel is past saving, or you simply want a different look, there are new and used wheels here — steel and aluminum, passenger through commercial.

Used wheels are worth asking about for a single replacement, where matching what is already on the vehicle matters more than buying a full set.

Wheel and tire packages

Wheels and tires bought together, mounted and balanced in one visit. It is the usual next step after a lift or leveling kit, and the alignment afterwards can be done on the same site.

Can mine be fixed?

Case by case — it depends on where the damage is and how bad it is, and nobody can tell you over the internet.

The quickest way to find out is a photograph. Text one to 903-873-5555, or drop the wheel by the shop and we will look at it.

Have your tire size ready if you can — it is on the sidewall, and plenty of people run a size different from what the vehicle came with.
